UPS Company History
UPS was founded in 1907 by a recent man named James “Jim” E. Casey who borrowed a hundred from a whiz and established what was originally called the American Messenger Company in Seattle, Washington. The headquarters for the family was located in a root cellar and the messengers, which were only a few, ran errands, delivered packages, carried notes, baggage and trays of food from restaurants.
