The planet Uranus consists of a moon named Miranda that has an appearance and landscape so unique that Scientist tranquil disagree about what could go for occurred to create its features. At about 500 km in diameter (about 300 miles), Miranda is 1 of the strangest bodies in the solar outline because of its unique appearance and features.

Some astronomers believe that Miranda may have been shattered to pieces and reassembled several times since its existence. But others suggest that the partially melted ices may be responsible for the curious airfoil features. To date there is still no exact rendering to prove what really happened.



Astronomers had expected the moon to show itsy-bitsy to no history of internal activity but when the images were taken from the Voyager 2 probe, everyone was amazed and became more enlightened based on the results of the captured images.

Nearly everything we know about Miranda was learned from the Voyager 2 get wind on January 24, 1986 but Miranda was first observed and discovered by Gerard P. Kuiper on February 16, 1948 at the McDonald Observatory in western Texas. Kuipers visible photos of the Uranian system proved that the moon was the last moon of Uranus to be discovered prior to the infamous Voyager 2s flyby when they as well as discovered ten other moons and many rings. Although Miranda is not one of the larger satellites of Uranus, it happened to be the one that was closest approached by the Voyager 2. as luck would have it enough it was not a choice for the Voyager 2 to get as close...
