big White Shark
For many days there has been one animal that has struck fear in e trulyone that goes into the ocean. That animal is the long White Shark. It has been known to exceed 20 feet in length, although near are about 5 meters massive and weigh somewhere between 4000 and 5000 pounds. They live in nigh all coastal areas that have a water temperature that appease between about 50 and 75 degrees. Perhaps the most well known place to see with child(p) clean-livings is Dyer Island, which is mop up the coast of South Africa. Its main food sources are hide seals and sea lions, but they will also hunt life-size fish and sometimes other cheats.

Some of the characteristics of a great white that retain it unique is that it displays countershading, which means it has a white underside and and grey top portion. This makes the shark difficult to mark and gives it an advantage when stalking prey. They have serrated teeth which deduct in rows ready to replace one another when needed. Great Whites also have what is called the Ampullae of Lorenzini, which allows them to sense the electromagnetic field give off by movement of all living animals. The shark also had the ability to keep its body temperature warmer than the skirt water.





Great Whites have a very diverse diet, which make them even more dangerous hunters. They have been known to draw on fish, dolphins, whales and seals. Sharks prefer meals with a high fat substance to give them energy. They are ambush hunters, taking their prey by surprise from underneath. They have been known to come up from the back tooth so fast that their entire body has left the water. The Great White has only one natural predator, the orca.

There is very little known about the population status of this shark, heretofore it is uncommon compared to other species. The IUCN has given it a label of cosmos vulnerable, but not yet an endangered species. Fisherman go for sharks to collect their teeth and fins.
