Watching the movie after reading the mass presents many differences between the two, not very good ones either. completely the differences made me hate the movie so much since they deep in thought(p) all those small details that I loved. Altogether at that place werent many similarities since they wanted to show personalities quicker than in the mass, which they did horribly. There are three main differences I despised the most; the fact that the Avox girl was not in the movie, when Peeta and Katniss were in the coal scuttle ceremony, and when she finds the Mocking Jay pin.
When there isnt the Avox girl in the movie, it doesnt show what exactly happens to the batch who maverick. In the password it shows so much about their interactions with each other and the ungracefulness between them when the Avox girl serves Katniss in the dining room, in the hospital, and so forth When Katniss first saw the girl, she had a flashback to when she was in the woods with Gale, was when her brother and trying to run away scarce the Capitol sent in a hovercraft to collect them, while unconsciously cleanup the boy. I was very disappointed about this detail because it shows what happens when you rebel against the Capitol and how her brother and she got caught in the woods while Katniss and Gale go in there every day.
In the book when Katniss and Peeta were in the opening ceremony, Cinna had told them to hold hands off the bat while successful and waving but in the movie halfway through and through Peeta held her hand but she refused eventually giving in and safekeeping his, then did they start to smile and wave. Everybody was cheering from the beginning anyway, but it doesnt show how good Cinna is right off. Cinna only wants everything to go well for both Peeta and Katniss instead of them being ignored and hated. Everything goes beautifully in the book but in the movie Katniss is a little cold when Peeta tries to grab her hand so that people will love them.
