The Quest of Marlow
In Heart of Darkness, Charlie Marlow is a rattling interesting main character. He starts as an experienced face seaman who enjoys the exploration and mystery of the uncharted portions of the map, and cant seem to bother himself with things that hold no mystery or intrigue for him. Charlie Marlows quest first begins when he becomes the sea captain of a riverboat steamer that overtake out travel into the green of Africa up the Congo River. This consequentially life-altering journey has Marlow searching for something both wittingly and unk like a shotingly, and this will ultimately result in him developing a new perspective of what hed been searching for and the cosmea around him.
Charlie Marlow had an immediate interest in the Congo River and the wilderness that surrounded it. However, when he hears of Kurtz, the very successful manager of the inside(a) Station, zip stirs his interest. One day, the accountant remarks, In the interior you will no doubt meet Mr. Kurtz, and after he sees that this causes nonhing in Marlows eyes, he goes on to explain that he is a very remarkable person(Conrad 74). Kurtz still holds no intrigue for Marlow.
It is only when he learns of the details of Kurtzs anticipate in the jungle that he becomes fascinated with the man and now centers his journey specifically around finding him. This is because Kurtz was somewhat of an deity to Marlow.
