Krogstad diary entrys:
antagonist besides not villain
Nils Krogstad, the plays antagonist, uses some villainous tactics over the course of the play. He intimidates, blackmails, and threatens Nora in an hunting expedition to keep his job at the edge.
Krogstad too reveals himself to be a much much sympathetic and merciful character than he first appears to be. The plays climax is largely a matter of resolving identity confusionâ€"we see Krogstad as an earnest lover, Nora as an intelligent, brave woman, and Torvald as a simpering, woeful man. The seemingly villainous Krogstad repents and lessens Noras contract to her
