Around 10:49 Satur solar day night, Lincoln Police responded to the Center for People in Need after race at a quinceanera fellowship say pepper spray was used in the building.
A 15-year-old girl was celebrating her Quinceanera at the Center of People in Need. A Quinceanera is a tradition in the Latino community initiating a 15-year-old into young adult hood.
Sergeant Tom Ward state three kids started fighting over a comment that was do toward a girl. Ward said security at the society surrounded the group and the kids started fighting with security.
Security told police that a number of bystanders tried to get involved in the eat into and thats when security officers used pepper spray or something convertible to break-up the group.
Lincoln Police say a total of 976 lot had gone through the doors for the Quinceanera.
Medical crews who responded treated six people for exposure to pepper spray, all those people were treated and released.
It truly too bad that the actions of a few kids started all this and ruin what was supposed to be a special event for a special day.
